Red Bull F1 Academy Car Features Special Livery for Canada Weekend
Red Bull's F1 Academy programme has unveiled a unique, one-off livery that will adorn Alisha Palmowski's car during the Canada Grand Prix weekend in Montreal. The special design, a collaboration between the Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme, partner 1Password, and Canadian artist Kirsten McCrea, is intended to celebrate female excellence and talent across the fields of sports, design, and technology.
The bespoke livery serves as a visual statement embodying a commitment to removing barriers and creating pathways for women in motorsport and cybersecurity. Artist Kirsten McCrea approached the design as a narrative canvas, aiming to reflect movement, growth, and the spirit of ambition.
Deeply rooted in Canadian identity, the livery incorporates a colour palette featuring the national red alongside the blue tones associated with Quebec, the province hosting the race. Central to the design is a pattern of stylized dandelion seeds radiating outwards from behind the driver. These seeds symbolize ambition and ideas taking flight, drawing inspiration from the iconic Expo 67 logo which represented innovation and progress. Ripples extending from the rear of the car further underscore the theme of impact, suggesting how the achievements of one woman can create wider opportunities for others.
The initiative highlights the collaborative effort between the team, its sponsors, and creative talents to promote diversity and inclusion within the motorsport landscape.
