Formula E Unveils Largest Calendar Yet for 2025/26 Season

The all-electric single-seater series, Formula E, has announced its provisional calendar for the 2025/26 season, setting a new record with 18 races planned. The schedule features a blend of established venues and new additions, spread across various continents. The season is set to commence in São Paulo, Brazil, in December, with the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City hosting the second round in January 2026. Following its return this season, Formula E will visit Miami again, but with a change of venue, moving to the Miami International Autodrome located at the Hard Rock Stadium. The calendar includes several double-header weekends, starting with Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The series will also return to Madrid, Spain, in March, marking the first time Formula E has raced in the Spanish capital at the Circuito de Madrid-Jarama, which previously hosted pre-season testing. Germany's Tempelhof Airport in Berlin remains a staple, hosting a pair of races in May, making it the only city to have featured on every Formula E calendar since the inaugural season. The iconic streets of Monaco will also host two races on the same weekend. The latter part of the season sees a return to Asia, with Shanghai, China, scheduled for another double-header following a successful return in Season 10. Tokyo will also host two races, taking a new slot in July. The season will conclude in London at the ExCeL Arena with a double-header in August, where the champion is expected to be crowned. Notably, the calendar includes two unconfirmed locations scheduled for May and June, which the series is expected to announce later. Formula E emphasized that sustainability is a key factor in calendar planning, with race locations grouped by continent to minimize freight transport and carbon emissions. This expanded calendar signifies a significant step for the electric racing championship as it continues to grow its global footprint.
